Practice Nurses
The practice nurses are based at Alvaston. The nurses are able to offer advice on a wide range of issues such as diabetes, asthma, and contraception, and offer well women/man check ups. They are also able to advise on exercise, diet, immunisations and travel vaccinations. Nurse appointments are allocated on the day with a limited number of pre-book appointments.
District Nurses
The local team of district nurses are not based at the surgery but at Coleman Street. They visit our housebound patients and those recently discharged from hospital at home. If you need to contact the district nurses you can ring the district nurse liaison desk on 366717.
