The You and Your General Practice (YYGP) initiative is designed to help patients understand what to expect from their GP services and how to get the best care through the NHS.
It also enables patients to provide feedback or raise concerns with their GP practice, Healthwatch, or the integrated care board (ICB). The YYGP document, published by NHS England, outlines the expectations and how patients can help their GP practice. It is required for every GP practice to have linked to the NHS England YYGP document on their website by 1 October 2025.
